Course Information

Broaden your educational experience to include the varied services of different types of libraries. Supervised experience in libraries is essential in the development of library skills. Students should work with program staff at their registering college to meet Mohawk College’s “Field Work Guidelines for Library and Information Technician Students”. Prerequisite(s):

Information Technology for Library Technicians (MO-INFO10172) and Online Searching (MO-LIBR10041) and Resource Description and Access 1 (MO-LIBR10042) and Circulation and Inter Library Loan (MO-LIBR10037). It is recommended students complete Indexing and Subject Analysis (MO-LIBR10038) and Reference Processes (MO-LIBR10044) prior to or concurrently with placement.
